GEO Generative Engine Optimisation

It’s Christmas Eve.

For many business owners, today is a pause. A breath between a full year and whatever comes next. Laptops are half-closed, thoughts are drifting, and the pressure to “do more” finally softens a little. So this isn’t a newsletter about pushing harder. It’s a gentle reminder that growth doesn’t always come from adding new things.

Sometimes it comes from making sure you can be found. Because even today, future clients are still searching. They’re not looking for big promises or polished language. They’re looking for understanding. For someone who names their problem clearly and makes it feel lighter.

And this matters even more right now, because the way people search is changing. Social platforms are no longer just places to scroll; they are places to search. Search engines are changing, too.

AI now sits in between the question and the answer, deciding what to surface first, what to summarise, and which sources to trust. This means we’re no longer optimising only for platforms or keywords. We’re optimising for AI systems that interpret intent and deliver answers across search engines, social feeds, and AI models.
To be found today, your content needs to help these systems understand one thing clearly: who you help, what problem you solve, and why your explanation makes sense.
3 tips to make your foundable

First, think about how your clients actually look for you.

Not the titles you use for your services. Not your internal language. The real words they type when they feel stuck, tired, or unsure. These are often simple questions, not clever phrases. When you start from their words, visibility becomes less about marketing and more about being helpful.

Second, answer those questions clearly on your website.

An honest FAQ section is one of the most underrated tools you can have. What do people always ask before working with you? What do they hesitate about? What do they need reassurance on? Clear answers build trust quietly, and they help both people and search engines understand what you really do.

Third, focus on being useful, not impressive.

Can someone understand your business by answering these three questions, clearly and simply:
* Who is this for?* What problem does it solve for them?* How do you help, in practice?
If this isn’t obvious on your website, your bio, or your main page, visibility becomes harder for people and for search systems.
As the year closes, you don’t need to fix everything. One clear page, one answered question, one thoughtful explanation can already change how the next year begins.
I’ll be back in the new year with fresh reflections. For now, I wish you a calm end to the year, in business and beyond.
Cheers,❤️ Ugne❤️ Ugne
